Votes here counts as you want they counts

What's on your mind today?

I'm new user in the site but I'm not new at all in the business, I'm chopping since the first photoshop production came. After long time (W1K) I decide to get back in a site to compete but the final results is always the same. I'm astonished seeing nosense chop and paste made by 10 years old maybe users winning contests. I lost many of my Honour Points but I don't care, if something is really a shit it deserves that poor vote, anyway the act of voting here is a scandal, surfing the site is enough bright that friends they vote each other and the usual better work loose the contest. I can make example on the few contests I entered or voted. I think I will not vote anymore for anyone It got no sense. When I see people posting the same identical source with a fu***** puppet patched on it, I get crazy, sorry. I still have to understand more and I will keep on chopping, I hope no "mutual friends"" will be connected at my same time. Last not least, Honour is a bullshit, I cannot see no honour in a person voting a terrible entry from a friend with an high vote.

PS. to anyone will read, to photoshop something it means to change perspective on things, to change lights, to change reality and spot it to a next level, the rest is for kids school.

Hi Bridges
Some people are here to learn and deserve to receive help (how did you start?), not with the vote of course but with comments maybe.
Some other people indulge in mediocrity!!! and keep undervoting, which is even worse.
I noticed that you gave bad votes to good entries though (or not so bad entries)... we don't all appreciate the same stuff. And it is perhaps better this way.
There are still good choppers around. Not enough for sure. But many members only ask to improve. z)

Bridges, you have only done one chop so far, hardly enough to have such a condescending attitude for others.

Nice to see an answer here. Don't complain about my first time voting, I didn'tknow nothing about the scale and about the site, I've just saw all of you voting and how you did. At my place something really nice and perfect It deserve a vote 10 (100) not 45-50. Otherwise I've never seen a constructive criticism on a post, neither in the eldest. Me too, I'm not perfect,I'm here to improve my skills and to evolve.
I know many people chopping in this world and I'm active in many other site, don't say to me please that perhaps is better this way.
I started chopping in 2001. When I use to work on a piece for 3 full days, I can even perfectly recognize how long the "artist" was working on it...Do we have to speak about two days ago Walt Disney? ... ok see you around, thanks for your attention and for your coming up fair vote :)

Ps. My photoshopping talent is something existing just to improve my imagination, with competition I can just get better, I don't care so much about people speaking for free but about my mistakes, this is the only important, I'm sorry if I've been misunderstood maybe (anzi sicuro), I'm sorry even cause uncomprehensibly I was on late two times with two different works that maybe vicspa could like a lot. 8)

I am extremely disappointed at the kind of chopping that goes on these days, and even more disappointed in the voting. But it is what it is, so I choose not to participate much.

If you participated more Vic, it would raise the level and pull up everyone.
I understand your lassitude though.
And Bridges don't get me wrong, I liked a lot your only one first entry !!!

Just go through the archives and see how it used to be, now you got people that couldn't chop their way out of a wet paper bag, and they vote like they're first class philistines.

Hi to everyone,
first of all, I am always happy to see a new member with high skill levels, so welcome once again.
I started on this site mid August of last year and back then, my PS skills were basically limited to patching up vacation photos. I was, and sometimes still am so terribly uncreative, that I "need(ed)" to be told to alter a specific image or to follow a theme. In the beginning, I made suggestions for improvements, but stopped eventually, because not one of them was implemented. Bridges, if people are resistant to learning, you cannot help them. It is something that happens in the head. You either want to learn or you don't. And then you do. Or you don't, respectively. That is the cycle I see here.
Personally I participate, because I truly enjoy the improvements I have made. Regardless of the votes. I am very happy with my output, and that's what is important to me.

@vicspa: I think everyone can help improving this site. If it shines, it will attract more... flies (?  ). I would love to see more of you.
@everyone: I do not mind constructive critizism, no, ... I appreciate constructive critizism, so please do not hold back.

I know this feeling of disappointment, have had it, too, when I, for example, received a vote of 35 and 36... (according to this site's voting suggestions, it is like a stonethrow away from cut-and-past-quality). I feel nothing but pity for people that undervote in order to win a competition, payback reasons, you name it..
Always be honest to yourself, if YOU aren't, why expect others to be. And, if you like something about an entry or feel it is "better" than yours, why not admit it and say smth. nice? Kindness and generosity are free of cost and make other people happy. Win/win situation!! Love it!

I'll stick around soulsister Z and I look forward to tons of entries to come.
And thanks for your kind words. They make me blush z)
