Hi, It seems lots of members in the site are great animators, why not creating special gifs contests??? You should also post some tutos for the shoppers who wish to learn from you.... What do you think???????

I'm guessing, but I'll hazard a guess that separated gif contests may contain too few contestants to make things work. Lumping them together with still photos would possibly create an unfair quantity of winners by a small group. Lumping together solves this while still allowing animators to enter. Just throwing that out there. I'd still be happy to try separated competitions if the big boss is willing.

As far as tutorials goes. I'm entirely self-taught and have likely picked up too many horrible techniques to share with others. I have a feeling my methods are pretty clunky. I would share, but it might not be pretty: "Sludgepump's GIF Method."

Ohhh, I see, you are right ! I did not think in that problem.... maybe one gif contest per month?

Actually you can vote for a gif contest in the "vote for contest theme" page with the possibility of having a gif contest every week

Will give the tutorial thing some thought guys. Maybe after I've done some reading myself to clear out the messy Sludgpumpisms that might occur.
